Description
Our client is seeking an off-track associate to join their subscription agreement review team in their Tax Department. The role involves reviewing, negotiating, and tracking tax portions of investor subscriptions and transfer documents for private equity sponsor clients. The position is based in either NY or DC. The ideal candidate should possess a J.D. and be admitted to the DC or NY Bar (pending admission is acceptable). Some knowledge of tax law, including law school tax classes and/or tax experience, is required. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to present well to clients, strong academic credentials, exceptional work ethic, and attention to detail are also necessary. The candidate must work well independently and as a team member.
