EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES GROUP ASSOCIATE (2001)

Description

Our client, a leading technology and life sciences law firm with a dynamic litigation practice, is seeking a junior associate with at least two years of employment law experience in both litigation and counseling for their Employment Group. The ideal candidate will have experience advising employers, particularly early and mid-stage start-up companies, on a variety of employment law issues such as wage/hour, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and worker classification assessments. Strong litigation skills, including experience with single plaintiff and complex cases, are required. A good command of California state and local employment laws and a business-minded approach to problem-solving are essential. Candidates must have a strong background in employment law, top academic credentials, and California bar membership. The role involves counseling and litigating in areas such as employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, wage-hour, trade secrets, workplace privacy, and executive employment agreements.
