Description
Our client is seeking an associate with 2-5 years of experience in fund formation and investment management to join their Fund Formation & Investment Management (FFIM) Practice Group. While the preferred location for this position is Boston, candidates in Chicago or New York may also be considered, with flexibility based on business needs and candidate experience. The role involves comprehensive services to both General Partners (GPs) and Limited Partners (LPs), requiring a deep understanding of the business objectives and trends within the private funds industry. Applicants must have robust experience in fund and management structuring, side letter negotiations, secondary sales, and compliance with the Investment Advisers Act. The ideal candidate will possess sophisticated document drafting skills, the ability to manage complex projects and transactions, and should be comfortable interacting directly with senior partners and clients. A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and an exceptional work ethic are essential, along with a JD from an ABA-approved law school and good standing in the Bar of the jurisdiction where admitted.
