Description
Our client is seeking an Associate to join their Investment Management Practice Group, with the option to work in either their Chicago, New York, or Washington D.C. offices. The ideal candidate should have five to seven years of experience in the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and related regulations. Experience in representing registered investment companies, private funds, and investment advisers is required, including the preparation and review of registration statements, offering documents, board meeting materials, and investment management agreements. Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, a problem-solving attitude, intrinsic motivation, and strong academic credentials are essential. Experience in a large law firm is preferred but not necessary. This is a hybrid position, requiring two days in the office.
