Description
Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking an associate with 4 - 6 years of employment law experience to join their team in New York. The ideal candidate will have experience in a prominent law firm's employment practice, counseling employers on various employment-related issues such as leave entitlement, wage and hour issues, hiring, terminations, discipline, handbook policies and procedures, employment agreements, among others. Prior experience defending employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor, is essential. Experience in handling multiple facets of litigation, wage and hour class/collective action litigation, and advising and defending/prosecuting restrictive covenant agreements is highly preferred. Candidates must be admitted to practice law in NY; admission in MA, NJ, or PA is a plus, but not necessary. The right candidate will possess superior attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional analytical skills, and a high level of academic achievement.
