LABOR & EMPLOYMENT COUNSEL (3204)

Description

Our client is seeking a Counsel for their Labor & Employment Department in either the San Francisco or Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will possess eight to twelve years of relevant experience and hold a Juris Doctorate (JD), with a license to practice law in California. The role requires expertise in defending single plaintiff litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and reasonable accommodation, as well as experience with PAGA matters and class actions. Candidates should be capable of independently managing cases from start to finish, with strong research and writing skills, and a solid academic record. Proficiency in drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery, arguing motions, and handling depositions is essential. Experience in employment counseling on federal and state laws is also required. A smaller portable book is preferred but not mandatory. The position operates in a standard office environment, requiring sedentary work with occasional walking and standing.
