Description

Our client, a prestigious global law firm, is seeking a Patent Agent/Patent Attorney to join their Intellectual Property Practice Group in Austin, TX. This role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of clients across various industries, leveraging a strong local presence alongside a national and global platform. The successful candidate will support the IP Practice by strategically developing, procuring, and counseling on patent portfolios, with a focus on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the computer arts, including software, AI/ML, web applications, and telecommunications. Applicants should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and ideally hold a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science, though those with mechanical engineering backgrounds or relevant experience will also be considered. Strong academic credentials, client interaction skills, and proficiency in drafting complex software patent applications are essential.
