Description
Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a midlevel associate to join their Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. The ideal candidate should have four to six years of experience in M&A, with specific experience in both public and private company transactions, with an emphasis on public company M&A transactions. The role involves significant client contact with major corporations, private equity sponsors, and portfolio companies. The candidate should have a strong general corporate transactional background, including experience in drafting and reviewing sophisticated corporate documentation, and a working knowledge of market terms and SEC and stock exchange rules and regulations applicable to public company M&A transactions. The ability to work in a team and handle significant individual responsibilities is essential. Superior academic credentials, coupled with strong written, interpersonal and communication skills, are required. Major transactional firm experience is preferred.
