Description
Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney for their Restructuring practice. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal counsel on a wide range of bankruptcy and financial matters, including in-court and out-of-court restructurings. Responsibilities include drafting legal documents, developing legal opinions, negotiating contracts, and representing various clients in connection with Chapter 11 cases. The position requires a Juris Doctor degree and 6 months of experience in corporate debt restructuring and bankruptcy matters on the creditor side. The candidate must have experience with issues specific to in-court restructurings, preparing initial drafts of correspondence and pleadings for restructuring or bankruptcy situations, and researching public records. The candidate must be admitted to practice law in the state of New York, or eligible to apply for admission within one year of hire. Part-time telecommuting may be permitted.
