Description
Our client is seeking Associate positions in New York, NY, to provide legal advice on sophisticated leveraged finance and credit transactions, with a focus on Canada-U.S. cross-border financings and restructuring. The role involves representing large financial institutions, including banks, underwriters, and direct lending credit funds, negotiating legal documentation, and managing transactions from initiation to completion. Responsibilities include reviewing junior associates' work, structuring guarantor and collateral packages, developing client relationships, and mentoring junior and summer associates. Candidates must have a Juris Doctor degree or foreign equivalent, and at least 2 years of experience with a major law firm handling complex domestic and cross-border corporate lending and restructuring transactions. Experience must include advising large banks, drafting and negotiating corporate lending and restructuring documentation, working with local counsel in foreign jurisdictions, and analyzing due diligence information.
