Description
Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a Restructuring Associate to join their team in New York or Chicago. The role involves representing debtors, official creditors committees, lenders, asset purchasers, and other stakeholders in both in-court and out-of-court restructurings and litigation, including cross-border matters. Candidates should have 2 to 4 years of experience in restructuring, including chapter 11 proceedings, and must be admitted to practice in the relevant jurisdiction. Responsibilities include presenting and arguing contested matters in court, engaging in client communications, drafting pleadings and reorganization plans, assisting in distressed asset transactions, managing liquidations, and participating in settlement negotiations.
