Description

Our client, a prestigious law firm based in Chicago, is seeking an Associate for their Labor & Employment Department. The firm represents a diverse clientele ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses and nonprofits across local, national, and international levels. Their labor and employment team, consisting of over 70 lawyers in the United States and Europe, manages over 4,000 employment-related matters annually. This role involves counseling employers on compliance with federal, state, and international laws, handling traditional labor issues, conducting internal investigations, and managing federal contracting and executive compensation. The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of experience in labor and employment law or commercial litigation, with a strong academic background and excellent legal research, analysis, and writing skills. Experience in litigating employment, civil rights, or commercial matters in both state and federal courts is essential, and familiarity with state and federal wage & hour and employment laws is preferred. Candidates must be licensed or eligible to be admitted to the Illinois State Bar within one year of commencement.
