Description
Our client, a leading defense litigation law firm, is seeking an associate to join their Life, Health, Disability, and ERISA litigation practice group based in Houston. The ideal candidate should hold a JD from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in the State of Texas. A minimum of 3 years of litigation defense experience is required, with specific experience in Life, Health, Disability, and ERISA litigation, including bad faith lawsuits. The role requires a strong knowledge of rules of evidence and procedure, excellent written and analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities include independently managing a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end, collaborating with other attorneys and partners on legal projects, communicating with clients, and providing status reports. The role may also involve court appearances, written discovery, motion practice, and depositions.
