PATENT COUNSELING ASSOCIATE (1036)
Description
Our client is seeking a Bio Patent Counseling Associate with 4+ years of patent counseling and prosecution experience to join their Intellectual Property group. This team is exclusively focused on the life sciences industry, handling critical patent development, protection, and enforcement issues for both small and large molecules. They represent a range of clients from pre-public and discovery stage biotechnology pharmaceutical companies to established, publicly traded international pharmaceutical companies. The role involves worldwide patent portfolio development, from prosecution and counseling to due diligence, transactions, and infringement defense and avoidance. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related discipline, and have experience in strategic international patent portfolio development and life cycle management, as well as non-infringement and invalidity analysis, post-grant proceedings and IP due diligence. Prior pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus. Candidates must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
