Description
An eminent law firm, recognized for its contributions to the technology and life sciences sectors, is looking to augment its Privacy & Security practice with a mid-level privacy and cybersecurity associate. The candidate should possess 4-5 years of profound experience in privacy and cybersecurity as they pertain to business transactions such as licensing, M&A and commercial contracting. Our client provides exhaustive cybersecurity legal services, from readiness, compliance, and governance issues, to responses to data breaches, regulatory investigations, and defense in multidistrict class-action litigation. Candidates should possess robust experience in drafting privacy/security policies, negotiating privacy-related contracts, providing product counseling, conducting privacy compliance assessments, and leading due diligence for M&A and financings. An understanding of federal, state, and international privacy laws is essential. Both law firm and in-house experience will be considered. Though not mandatory, a technical background and experience with AdTech and AI would be beneficial. Superior academic credentials, excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, and strong professional references are a must. NY bar membership or eligibility to obtain the same is required.
