Description
Our client is seeking a smart, imaginative, and hard-working tax associate to join their offices in Charlotte, Pittsburgh, or New York. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in transactional tax matters, with a preference for those experienced in private equity transactions. An LL.M. in Taxation is strongly preferred. Candidates should have expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating tax provisions in various agreements, including mergers, stock purchases, and asset purchases, as well as partnership, joint venture, and limited liability company agreements. Experience with the tax aspects of equity and debt financing transactions is also desired. The role involves working closely with experienced lawyers, providing active mentoring and opportunities for increased responsibility and client contact. Candidates must be self-starters with strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality client service.
