Description
Our client, a renowned law firm, is seeking a Career Associate to join their Antitrust practice group in one of their US office locations: Boston, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Washington, D.C. This non-partnership track position requires a basic understanding of antitrust fundamentals to counsel clients on obligations under the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Improvements Act and premerger compliance process in the US and internationally. The role involves advising on antitrust filings for mergers and acquisitions, interpreting HSR reportability, providing guidance on compliance and antitrust laws, interacting with the worldwide antitrust team, and responding to filing-related inquiries from antitrust agencies. Candidates should ideally have experience in HSR notification compliance and representing clients before the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice Antitrust Division in merger clearance matters. However, in the absence of specific HSR or other merger control experience, familiarity with similarly complex regulatory regimes is desirable. The firm is willing to train a driven individual who possesses excellent academic credentials, strong organizational skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to apply and explain complex regulatory regimes to internal and external clients.
