Description
Our client, a renowned law firm, is seeking a Career Associate to join their Antitrust practice group in one of their US offices. This non-partnership track position requires a basic understanding of antitrust fundamentals, particularly the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Improvements Act and premerger compliance processes. The successful candidate will advise on antitrust filings for mergers and acquisitions, interpret HSR reportability, guide clients through premerger transactions, and respond to inquiries from antitrust agencies. Staying updated on changes in antitrust laws and regulations is also essential. Preferred candidates will have experience in HSR notification compliance and representing clients before the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice Antitrust Division. However, in the absence of specific HSR or other merger control experience, familiarity with similarly complex regulatory regimes is desirable. The candidate must possess excellent academic credentials, strong organizational skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to apply and explain complex regulatory regimes.
