Description
Our client, a prestigious global law firm, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Finance and Bankruptcy Practice Group in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work within a well-established team specializing in corporate special situations, financial restructuring, and creditor’s rights litigation, including both US and cross-border matters. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in representing debtors, creditor’s committees, lenders, and opportunistic debt and equity investors. Key responsibilities include drafting bankruptcy petitions, first day pleadings, and engaging in bankruptcy motion practice, as well as handling bankruptcy-related litigation such as prosecuting and defending preference and fraudulent conveyance actions. This position provides a unique chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across commercial finance, real estate, corporate, tax, labor, and securities sectors.
