BRIEF WRITER COUNSEL ASSOCIATE (3412)
Description
Our client is seeking a full-time senior associate or counsel with a focus on brief writing for their national class action practice in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in sophisticated legal research and writing, particularly in class action matters, and the ability to develop and implement briefing strategies. The role involves collaborating with class action merits teams to prepare substantive briefs and motions, including complex dispositive motions, oppositions to collective and class treatment, decertification motions, motions for summary judgment, motions to compel arbitration, appeals, and mediation statements across various jurisdictions. The candidate must be detail-oriented with strong research, organizational, and writing skills, and should stay informed on employment and class action law developments. Experience in a large law firm is preferred, and candidates must have IL Bar admission and provide a writing sample.
