Description
Our client, a leading technology and life sciences law firm with a dynamic corporate practice, is seeking a Counsel to join its Trade & National Security team in Washington, D.C. The role involves advising innovative companies on export control, sanctions, foreign direct investment reviews, and trade policy. Candidates must have at least eight years of relevant experience, including substantial expertise in trade and economic sanctions, U.S. export controls (EAR and ITAR), OFAC, trade policy, national security issues, compliance counseling, product classifications, license applications, rulemaking advocacy, internal investigations, government enforcement proceedings, and CFIUS filings. Superior academic credentials and excellent communication skills are required. Experience with technology and/or life sciences companies is advantageous. Government or in-house experience is a plus.
