Description
Our client is seeking an Attorney to join their expanding national Cyber Security & Data Privacy practice, focusing on data breaches and incident response. This role is ideal for attorneys with over two years of experience who are passionate about the intersection of law and technology. Candidates must hold a JD from an accredited law school, be admitted to practice in New York, and have a demonstrated interest or coursework in data privacy and security. Knowledge of data breach and privacy laws such as HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA, CCPA, and GDPR is essential, and an IT or technical background is advantageous. Key responsibilities include incident response, legal analysis of privacy laws, drafting breach notices, responding to regulatory investigations, defending privacy lawsuits, and creating privacy and security policies. Excellent research, writing, and communication skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, are required.
