Description
Our client, a leading defense litigation law firm, is seeking an Attorney to join their expanding national Cyber Security & Data Privacy practice. This role is ideal for attorneys with several years of experience and a keen interest in the intersection of law and technology. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of legal experience, a demonstrated interest or coursework in data privacy and security, knowledge of data breach and privacy laws (HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA, CCPA, GDPR, etc.), and excellent research, writing, and communication skills. An IT or technical background is a plus. Responsibilities include incident response for cybersecurity and data privacy incidents, analysis of state, federal, and international privacy laws, drafting legal notices of a data breach to individuals and regulators, responding to regulatory investigations arising out of a data breach, defending privacy lawsuits, and drafting privacy and security policies and procedures.
