Description

Our client is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data privacy to join their expanding Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity group in Chicago. This role offers the chance to work on innovative matters, gain significant responsibility, and interact directly with clients alongside seasoned privacy and security attorneys both in the U.S. and internationally. The group advises a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, across various industries including technology, fintech, e-commerce, healthcare, retail, adtech, and entertainment. Responsibilities include handling cross-border transfers, product counseling, cookies and adtech, regulatory investigations, ransomware attacks, corporate transactions, and compliance with evolving data protection laws. Candidates must be self-motivated, deeply familiar with global and U.S. data protection legal frameworks, possess technical knowledge of the Internet, have superior writing and communication skills, and demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and client service. This is a partner (shareholder) track position requiring admission to practice law in Illinois and excellent academic credentials.
