Description
Our client, a prominent national law firm, is seeking an Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation attorney with 4-6 years of experience. The role can be based in any of their offices, with remote work also considered. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in employee benefits and executive compensation counseling, particularly in the context of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Key responsibilities include researching tax and ERISA issues, reviewing statutory and regulatory changes, assisting with due diligence, drafting employment agreements, and completing IRS and Department of Labor correction program filings. Preferred experience includes ESOPs, multiemployer plan withdrawal liability, and Internal Revenue Code Section 409A compliance.
