Our client seeks an associate to join their Energy, Infrastructure, and Project Finance team in Houston. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience and must be admitted and in good standing with the Texas State Bar. This global Am Law 50 full-service law firm has over 1,000 attorneys across 16 offices worldwide, with the Houston office housing over 20 attorneys practicing in various areas including Business Litigation, Corporate Transactions, and Real Estate. The Energy, Infrastructure, and Project Finance team, comprising over 55 attorneys, represents leading utilities, pipeline operators, municipalities, independent power producers, commercial banks, equity and tax investors, EPC contractors, and energy technology companies. The role involves representing clients in the renewable energy and power sector, handling transactions related to the development, acquisition, and financing of renewable energy projects, and trading in energy commodities. Candidates should have experience in debt or equity project financing, energy trading, commercial lending, Power Purchase Agreements, leasing, tax credits, due diligence for complex transactions, and project development, construction, and operations contracts. Strong candidates with transferable skills from the oil & gas industry will also be considered.
