Description
Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking an energy transactional associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join its Energy & Infrastructure practice. The role is open to candidates in Washington D.C., Houston, and New York. The successful candidate will represent a variety of entities in the energy sector, including financial institutions, commodity trading companies, and project developers, in a wide range of physical and financial transactions, and energy transition. The role requires experience in project finance, securitization of energy assets, negotiation and documentation of structured transactions, hedging, offtake, and other trading arrangements for conventional and renewable electricity, environmental products, and natural gas. Familiarity with credit and security documentation and standard master agreements used in the energy and commodities trading industry, including the ISDA and its physical annexes, the EEI, and the NAESB, is essential. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, comfortable with client interaction, and capable of taking on substantial roles in project management.
