Our client, a prominent East Coast-based law firm with national and international reach, is seeking an Associate with 3-5 years of energy regulatory and/or transactional experience to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in energy regulation and energy-related transactional matters, and will be familiar with the ongoing regulatory developments in the energy and utilities space. Experience dealing with retail arrangements for the purchase and sale of electricity and other matters before state regulatory bodies and the development and financing of renewable power facilities is preferred. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to be at the forefront of regulatory development in the energy industry, and to work alongside experienced industry professionals in a nationally recognized Energy practice in a collaborative, team-oriented and sophisticated work environment. The firm offers a hybrid in-office / remote work schedule to provide their attorneys greater flexibility. Job requirements include 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in energy regulation and compliance and/or energy-related transactional matters, excellent technical, drafting, professional and client service skills, excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills, team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration, and Bar admission in good standing in Connecticut.
