EXPORT CONTROLS ASSOCIATE (2126)

Description

Our client, an internationally recognized law firm, is seeking a highly qualified Associate or Counsel to join its International Trade practice group in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in U.S. export controls, particularly with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Key responsibilities include performing jurisdiction and classification analyses, handling encryption and technology controls, drafting license applications, and managing internal and government investigations related to export control concerns. Experience in M&A trade due diligence, economic sanctions, OFAC, CFIUS reviews, and FOCI mitigation is advantageous. Candidates must possess excellent academic and professional credentials, strong analytical, communication, and writing skills, and be a member of the NY Bar.
