Description
Our client is seeking a Healthcare Data Privacy Associate with a minimum of 4 years of experience and a deep understanding of healthcare industry data privacy and security issues. The successful candidate will join a leading global Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Digital Assets Practice team based in the U.S. The role involves assisting and advising clients on digital healthcare privacy, data privacy, cybersecurity, and digital assets counseling and transactions, as well as a range of global compliance strategies. Responsibilities include working directly with partners worldwide, leading or assuming significant responsibility for projects, carrying out compliance gap assessments, implementing remediation plans, and drafting policies and procedures. The candidate will also advise on contract and M&A negotiations, assist clients in determining compliance risks and priorities, and implement data protection compliance and information governance programs. A J.D. degree or equivalent is required, and the candidate must be admitted to practice and in good standing in any U.S. state. Experience with data privacy, including specific healthcare privacy experience, is essential. Incident response experience is desirable but not essential. Candidates with digital healthcare and privacy experience and Certified Information Privacy Professionals are strongly preferred.
