INTERNATIONAL TRADE ASSOCIATE (0289)
Description
Our client is seeking an associate with three to five years of experience to support their International Trade practice. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in U.S. sanctions and familiarity with export controls, trade remedies, trade policy, customs, and other international trade control laws. The candidate should be future-focused, diversity-minded, dedicated to excellence, service-oriented, and collaborative. Stellar academic credentials are required, and private sector and/or government experience is preferred. The role involves advising on laws and regulations governing cross-border investment and trade, conducting internal compliance audits and investigations, and developing mitigating and remedial measures and strategies. The candidate should have experience with sanctions adopted by the United Nations Security Council, programs administered by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the U.S. State Department, and sanctions regulations adopted by the U.K. and the EU Council.
