Description
Our client is seeking a patent agent with over 3 years of patent counseling experience, including preparation and prosecution, to join their national Intellectual Property Department’s Chemical, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical Practice Group. This role can be based in various locations including Boston, Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, New York, San Diego, Silicon Valley, or Washington DC, with potential for other locations based on business needs. Candidates must hold a PhD in biological sciences (e.g., Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics) or a related field, and possess a USPTO registration number. Experience in drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications, and preferably in preparing patent opinions in biotechnology or similar technology, is required. The ideal candidate will have strong legal writing, research, and communication skills, along with top academic credentials and law firm experience.
