Description
Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking an Associate to join their Labor & Employment Department based in Charlotte. The firm boasts a team of over 60 labor and employment lawyers across the United States and Europe, serving a diverse range of clients from small businesses to multinational corporations. The successful candidate will be involved in defending single-plaintiff, class, and representative actions involving federal and state claims of discrimination, harassment, trade secret misappropriation, and wage and hour violations, among others. They will also counsel employers in every aspect of the employer/employee relationship, including compliance with federal, state, and international law, traditional labor issues, internal investigations, and executive compensation. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience, which may include time as a judicial clerk, a strong academic background, and demonstrate excellent legal writing, research, and analysis skills. Litigation experience, preferably defense side on employment cases, is required. Class action defense experience is preferred but not required.
