LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ASSOCIATE (0714)

Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking a highly qualified associate to join their Labor & Employment and Education Teams based in North Carolina. The role involves providing top-tier legal services to higher educational institutions in areas such as Title IX, faculty employment, student and academic affairs, and athletics. Responsibilities include conducting and advising on internal investigations, litigation, legal research, drafting policies, conducting training, and counseling clients. The role may also involve serving as an external investigator or hearing officer in Title IX matters. Candidates should have 4 to 6 years of experience in employment law, including conducting or advising on investigations, and knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to employment in higher educational institutions. Experience working with education clients and a background in employment law, both litigation and counseling, is preferred. Candidates must be licensed, or eligible to be immediately licensed, in North Carolina and possess exceptional analytical, written, and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic, and excellent academic credentials.
