Our client, a renowned law firm, is seeking an M&A Associate to join their Corporate Practice in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in corporate transactions, with a focus on private M&A and private equity. Candidates should possess strong working knowledge of acquisition agreements and other documents used in complex M&A and private equity transactions, and be proficient in drafting the same. This role requires a strong interpersonal skills, a high degree of maturity, and a proven willingness to accept significant responsibility. Excellent academic credentials and writing skills are essential. Candidates should be well-versed in leading M&A transactions from inception to closing, managing due diligence teams, and have a general corporate and corporate governance experience. The ability to work effectively as part of a team across practice areas and willingness to train junior associates is a must. Candidates must be admitted to the Illinois Bar or eligible for admission.
