Description
Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking a Patent Agent or Technical Advisor with patent prosecution experience to join their premier Life Sciences Patent Counseling and Prosecution Group. The ideal candidate should have experience representing pharma and life sciences companies in patent drafting, prosecution, due diligence, and freedom to operate investigations. Essential job functions include drafting patent applications, managing domestic and international dockets, preparing responses to Office Actions, corresponding with foreign associates, formulating search strategies, analyzing patents in connection with due diligence or freedom to operate analyses, and evaluating patentable subject matter. The candidate must have an advanced degree in Biology, preferably a PhD, and be a registered patent agent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Prior work experience in a law firm and as a scientist is strongly preferred. This position operates in a professional office environment and requires frequent communication with employees and partners as well as third parties.
