Our client, a prestigious global law firm, is seeking a Counsel with a strong focus on intellectual property to join their Austin, Texas office. The ideal candidate will be registered to practice with the USPTO and be an active member in good standing of their home office bar or eligible to waive into the appropriate bar. A degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent, along with a deep understanding of organic chemistry, polymers, and downstream oil and gas operations, is essential. The role involves patent portfolio evaluation, management, and providing formal opinions on infringement, validity, and enforceability of intellectual property. Experience in client interaction for portfolio development and management is preferred.
