Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual with at least one year of law firm experience and a degree in material, chemical, mechanical, or biomedical engineering (or a related field) to join their busy patent counseling & prosecution practice. The ideal candidate will have industry experience and knowledge across various disciplines and technologies within chemical engineering or material science. Responsibilities include conducting prior art database searches, analyzing patent and scientific documents, assisting patent attorneys, and drafting patent applications and responses. Superb technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English are required, along with broad scientific knowledge in mechanical and/or biomedical engineering. An advanced degree is a plus. Candidates must be a registered US patent agent or eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam. Law school tuition assistance is available for patent agent candidates.
