Description
Our client, a leading global law firm with offices across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Patent Agent and/or Technical Specialist to join their Intellectual Property Practice Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. This position can be based in Silicon Valley, Orange County, Seattle, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC. The role involves significant client responsibilities and providing high-quality legal services to domestic and foreign clients. Key responsibilities include performing prior art searches and analysis, patentability analysis, IP due diligence, instructing local counsel for foreign filings and Office Actions, and assisting in patent clearance studies. The ideal candidate should have the ability to apply advanced concepts in any life sciences field, particularly molecular biology, cell biology, and/or biochemistry.
