Our client, a leading intellectual property firm, is seeking a patent prosecution associate for their Austin office. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for science, engineering, and intellectual property, and who thrive in a creative, respectful, and inclusive culture. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge technologies for top-tier clients, alongside legal practitioners who are leaders in their field. The role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, knowledge in product and machine design, manufacturing processes, and the ability to understand engineering drawings. Additionally, the candidate should have 3+ years of patent prosecution experience, an active membership in the state bar, compliance with CLE requirements, superior writing skills, and excellent academic credentials. The role also requires strong analytical skills to conduct complex and detailed analysis of legal matters, and effective communication skills to interact with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff.
