Description
Our client, a global top 50 full-service law firm, is seeking a Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney to join their team in Washington D.C. The successful candidate will handle cutting-edge software applications including AI, blockchain, interactive entertainment, digital media, and other software patents. The associate will work directly with the leaders of the AI and Blockchain and Fintech teams, among others. The firm's Intellectual Property team is one of the largest and most highly ranked in the country, serving a diverse range of clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. The ideal candidate should have 3-4 years of patent prosecution experience, with a software, computer science, or similar background. They should be self-sufficient, able to develop a patent strategy, write and prosecute patents, manage a patent docket, and handle day-to-day patent portfolio management. Direct client interaction and working closely with inventors and other legal professionals to secure and protect intellectual property rights will be a significant part of the role.
