Description

Our client is seeking an Associate or Patent Agent to join their Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group, focusing on Electrical Engineering & Software, in Houston, with consideration for highly qualified candidates in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have experience in intellectual property, specifically in drafting and patent prosecution, with a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or prior work experience, along with USPTO membership, are strongly preferred. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of software, controls, and controller systems, with electro-mechanical equipment experience being advantageous. Associates should have 4+ years of experience and be licensed to practice law in Texas or Georgia, depending on location, while Patent Agents should have 5+ years of experience. Responsibilities include managing global portfolio strategies and obtaining intellectual property rights domestically and internationally. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong academic credentials, and the ability to provide superior client service.
