Our client, a prestigious law firm with a strong focus on technology and life sciences, is seeking a patent associate for their life sciences practice. The firm has been at the forefront of market leadership and innovation for over 50 years, earning multiple national accolades for their Patent Group. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of legal practice experience, preferably in a law firm setting, and must hold a PhD or MD with research experience in fields such as organic chemistry, cell biology, or gene therapy. Candidates must be admitted to the Bar in the jurisdiction of their office location, which may include Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Seattle, New York, or Washington D.C., and should also be eligible for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office bar. Strong academic credentials and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills are essential.
