Description
Our client, a prestigious law firm based in New York, is seeking an associate with over 6 years of experience in M&A and asset management to join a practice team that supports one of the largest global asset managers. This role blends the responsibilities typical of both law firm associates and in-house counsel. The successful candidate will provide legal advice and counsel primarily to the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and Strategy groups. Responsibilities include working directly with investment professionals and in-house counsel on strategic transactions, fund-related matters, and general legal support. The role also involves assisting with board administration, governance matters, and drafting commercial agreements. Applicants must hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted in good standing to the New York bar. Experience in advising asset management firms, while preferred, is not mandatory.
