Description
Our client, a renowned firm specializing in Technology, Privacy & Cybersecurity, is seeking an associate with a minimum of two years of privacy experience. The position is open for candidates in Atlanta and Silicon Valley (Menlo Park). The ideal candidate will have experience in advising clients on critical data issues under US and EU privacy/data protection laws. Responsibilities include collaborating with associates to develop client-ready deliverables, drafting and negotiating privacy-related contracts, staying updated with changes in privacy laws, conducting privacy compliance/risk assessments, developing strategies to mitigate privacy risks, overseeing data breach response plans, and providing proactive legal advice. The candidate should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction, and in-depth knowledge of global privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other state privacy laws.
