Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking a lateral associate for its special district practice group based in Tallahassee. The role involves working with local units of special purpose government, offering a unique opportunity to practice in various areas of local government law, including public finance, contracts, public records, and governing board counsel, all within a private practice setting. The ideal candidate should have a Law Degree (Juris Doctor) from an ABA accredited law school, be admitted to the Florida Bar Association, and have experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of transaction documentation. An interest in government law and transactional practice is essential, along with the ability and willingness to travel. The position is exempt and offers a hybrid workplace model.
