Description
Our client, a reputable law firm based in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an Associate with 2-4 years of tax controversy experience. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in tax controversy disputes, including audits, appeals, and litigation, and familiarity with substantive federal income tax issues. Experience in a corporate and partnership setting is a plus, as is previous experience in a law firm, accounting firm, IRS, Tax Court, or Department of Justice (Tax Division). While a degree in accounting, a CPA license, or an LL.M. in Tax is beneficial, it is not a requirement. The candidate must have excellent academic and employment credentials, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Admission to practice in at least one state is required, with Pennsylvania being a plus.
