Description
Our client, a reputable law firm based in Houston, TX, is seeking an Associate with 2-5 years of tax controversy experience. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in tax controversy disputes, including audits, appeals, and litigation, and substantive federal income tax issues. Experience in a corporate and partnership setting is a plus, as is previous experience in a law firm, accounting firm, IRS, Tax Court, or Department of Justice (Tax Division). While a degree in accounting, a CPA license, or an LL.M. in Tax is beneficial, it is not a requirement. The candidate must have excellent academic and employment credentials, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. The ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as within a team environment involving extensive collaboration with other attorneys, paralegals, and office staff is essential.
