Description
Our client, a leading full-service defense litigation law firm, is seeking an Attorney for their expanding Tax Planning & Controversies practice group. The ideal candidate should hold a JD from a law school, with an LL.M. in Taxation preferred, and must be admitted to practice in New York and/or New Jersey. A minimum of 3+ years of experience is required, with primary experience in income tax (partnership taxation and corporate taxation) and gift and estate tax. Additional experience in taxation with respect to mergers and acquisitions, state and local taxation, and taxation for US inbound and outbound individuals and transactions, estate planning, and administration of trusts and estates is beneficial but not essential. The role involves client relations, implementing matters with minimal supervision, researching and preparing memoranda on complex tax matters, advocating tax positions orally and in writing, and developing and implementing estate planning techniques.
