TRADE REMEDY & CUSTOMS ASSOCIATE (3191)

Description

Our client is seeking an associate attorney with 3-5 years of experience in US trade law, focusing on customs compliance, enforcement, and trade remedy matters. The ideal candidate should have expertise in customs valuation, country-of-origin determinations, tariff classification, free trade agreements, duty preference programs, and customs enforcement actions. Experience in providing strategic guidance on trade remedy matters, including anti-dumping and countervailing duties, safeguard measures, and involvement in trade remedy investigations and dispute resolution processes, is essential. Familiarity with administrative proceedings before US Customs and Border Protection, the US Department of Commerce, the US International Trade Commission, and the US Court of International Trade is strongly preferred. The role is based in Washington, DC, and requires candidates to be proactive, independent, and collaborative, with strong academic credentials and excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and writing skills. Major law firm experience is highly desirable, and candidates must be admitted to the District of Columbia Bar or eligible to waive in.
